Lydia started playing violin at age 5 and at age 11 attended the Musikgymnasium "Schloss Belvedere" (Germany). She gained a lot of experience as concert master with the Thuringia Youth Orchestra. Lydia finished her music education achieving a degree of master of music at the University of music "Franz Liszt" Weimar. She started her career as Co-principal at State Theatre Eisenach continuing on to the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra as leader and section player for 14 years while for 7 years she was a member of the tauberquartet (string quartet). During her career she has performed in China, Namibia, Nicaragua, Spain, Poland and Canada with lots of orchestras and the quartet. Lydia loves challenges and is open to different styles of music. Participating masterclasses and Orchestra Academys has shaped her into a top quality musician. She is very happy to have been selected as concert master and to have the opportunity to bring her knowledge and experience to the PGSO.
