Marketing Coordinator

Part-Time Position (20 hours per week)

The Prince George Symphony Orchestra (PGSO) is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to support our mission of bringing exceptional orchestral music to the community. This part-time role (20 hours per week) offers flexible hours, with some in-person office time required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Campaign Planning & Execution: Work closely with the Executive Director to plan and implement marketing campaigns for the season, individual concerts, fundraising initiatives, and special events.
  • Graphic Design: Create or commission promotional materials, digital graphics, print advertisements, and other visual assets as needed.
  • Website Management: Maintain and update the PGSO website to ensure accurate, timely information about events and programming.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all marketing materials align with PGSO’s brand and messaging.
  • Community Engagement: Assist in outreach efforts to connect with new audiences and stakeholders.
  • Content Creation & Social Media: Work with Social Media coordinator on strategy to develop engaging content and manage social media platforms to enhance audience engagement and increase visibility.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
  • Strong writing and editing skills for social media and promotional content.
  • Familiarity with website management.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with the Executive Director and other team members.
  • Passion for the arts and an interest in symphonic music is a plus!

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Hourly Wage: $23/hour
  • Schedule: 20 hours per week, year-round
  • Work Environment: Flexible schedule with some required in-person office hours
