Everything has to begin somewhere.

In days of yore, kings and other wealthy benefactors sponsored artists of talent to cultivate the cultural landscape. These days corporate sponsors and granting foundations perform a similar function.

A grant from SOCAN Foundation is what allowed us to bring to you Thomas Beckman's original composition, "Caulfield in the Cape," an homage to the South Africa where he grew up. As Thomas described it: "I wanted to create something joyous in these difficult times."
